!New for 09! we will be setting up a system to make manure/compost tea easily in 200gal quantities. We need a cheap alternative to 5 gal pails of Humic Acid and manure tea contains many other soluble nutrients besides, that concentrated Humic Acid leaves out.

Hopefully we will be able to get 30 yards of manure trucked in from Hawi before the New Year. And I have most the materials for the aparatus. I'll have a trough for the manure/compost with a drain at one end (already built), and a 250 gal tank with a screen on top and a spigot on the bottom. Then I just need a 12 volt pump to recirculate and oxygenate the tea. I am planning to set it all on an old truck so tank will be high enough to easily fill a bucket off of. I will post pictures when I get it set up. For now its 5 gal buckets hung from trees and manually recirculating. :) The rain helps too.

I also need to get some mowing done so I can use the grass to make compost for the tea. Really we need a couple cows and get the grass cut free... but one step at a time.
